MDIA attended an invited meeting - MESYUARAT INISIATIF PENURUNAN PENGGUNAAN BAHAN PERGIGIAN MENGANDUNGI MERKURI TAHUN 2024 by Oral Health Program, Ministry of Health.
The matter of amalgam was discussed where Amalgam will be phased down in 2030, they will only want 5% to be used in the market.
Putrajaya has also acknowledged about online buying and MDA has replied in the meeting that they will be working on enforcing.
MDIA mentioned that we are working with MDA on this as it’s a priority for our Industry and Members.
